When an opponent plays a lob that is going to go over the player, they must be able to react quickly and immediately begin moving backwards in order to prepare their defense.
This exercise is the sixth and final stage in learning the technique of the guided lob. It focuses on the transition from attack to defense, before the player then plays a lob after the rebound off the back glass.
The objective is therefore to combine a quick transition backwards with the execution of a guided lob, while maintaining the technique developed throughout the different stages.
