This exercise is the fourth progression in learning the vibora technique. After working on the arm path, the contact point and the use of the non-dominant arm to adjust the distance from the ball, the player now integrates these elements while moving backwards.
The objective is to learn how to prepare the racket quickly as soon as the player starts moving backwards, then adjust the footwork to get into the correct position under the ball.
This progression therefore focuses on the transition from an attacking position at the net to the backward movement required to play a vibora following an opponent’s lob.
