This exercise is the fifth and final progression in learning the technique of the forehand from the back of the court. After working on the racket preparation, the complete movement, the first shots and the lateral distance from the ball, the player now focuses on improving the role of the non-dominant arm throughout the movement.
The objective is to learn how to use this arm to locate the ball and correctly support the movement, with its role emphasised through the use of a ball pickup tube.
This final progression therefore allows the player to practise the complete forehand again while focusing specifically on the positioning of the non-dominant arm.
