After learning how to identify the correct contact point and then how to prepare and set the racket correctly, the third step is to work on the movement required to get into the right position before the shot.
When defending off the glass, good preparation alone is not enough: the player must also be able to adjust their position according to the ball’s trajectory, moving backwards and sideways.
These small adjustment steps allow the player to recover the correct position and play the ball in front of the body.
The objective of this exercise is therefore to combine the elements worked on previously with precise and controlled movement before the shot.
