Used at Diagonal Padel Academy, this tactical drill teaches all three players how to regain the net by taking advantage of a strong and powerful down-the-line defensive shot.
It consists of repeating an intelligent tactical pattern: powerful down-the-line defense followed by a move to the net → blocked volley by the net player → resolution of the point in open play.
On one side, the defenders work on advancing to the net in a staggered formation to regain the advantage in the rally. On the other side, the volley player develops decision-making in this situation as well as their blocking volley.
The drill is demonstrated with three players. If you have four players, a variation is also described.
