In padel, finishing the point intelligently often requires building the rally over several shots. The objective is not necessarily to look for an immediate winner, but to gradually move the opponent and create the space needed to finish the point.
This exercise adds a new combination to the left-side player’s tactical toolbox: once it has been developed in training, it can be reproduced in matches with greater confidence.
The combination consists of moving the same defender with three consecutive shots: first towards the corner, then towards the middle, before exploiting the space created near the diagonal fence.
The exercise therefore teaches the player to build the attack with patience and precision, prioritising placement and control rather than systematically looking for power.
